Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung merupakan drama kolosal yang terjadi pada dinasti Joseon, yakni pada abad ke-19, dan akan menceritakan kisah tentang perempuan yang disukai karena ia menulis catatan sejarah.

Sinopsis

Drama ini berkisah tentang bagaimana Goo Hae Ryung (Shin Se Kyung) melawan prasangka berdasarkan gender dan status sosial demi menunjukkan nilai perubahan dalam masyarakat. Goo Hae Ryung adalah seorang sejarawan yang berani, cerdas, tetapi juga bermasalah.

Ia memiliki ambisi untuk menantang dan membalikkan nilai-nilai sosial yang ada dalam masyarakat. Sementara, pangeran Lee Rim (Cha Eun Woo) adalah sosok yang kesepian dan belum pernah berkencan dengan siapa pun. Meskipun ia adalah salah satu putra raja Joseon dan seorang novelis roman populer, sang pangeran hidup terisolasi dari dunia.

Sinopsis English

The story takes place at the beginning of the 19th century. Goo Hae Ryung is an intern to become a palace historian. However, it was not acceptable for women to write historical records at that time. She takes one step at a time to create her own destiny in Joseon, where the Confucius ideas are deeply rooted. She wants to fulfill her duties as a historian and prove to the world that everyone is equal. Along with the fight of the female palace historians, the drama will tell her romance with Prince Lee Rim who has a secret of his own.
